“I urge everyone to take up the conversation with JoinData”
Sebastian Visser is director of NUWEA, part of WEA Noord-Holland. Their goal is to automate the entire administration of an entrepreneur. From invoice to annual accounts.
Sebastian: “We, but also the entrepreneur, have insight into the figures throughout the year. And not just in May or June when it’s time for the annual accounts.” NUWEA employs 10 people, who mainly deal with administration and compiling figures. The specialists at WEA Noord-Holland can provide advice on this. About 50% of the customers come from the agricultural sector.
“For us, the agricultural sector is a big growth market. When you consider that tractors are driven by GPS and cows are milked by robots, it is crazy that you still have to go to the office with a folder for your accounting.”
NUWEA works with the accounting program YUKI, which can connect to JoinData. “Actually, I’m just lazy. I only want data to pass through someone’s hands once. An invoice from Campina, for example, should only be entered once. For us, JoinData is a tool that fits in very well with our philosophy. Fortunately, when we contacted YUKI and JoinData, everyone was open to the idea of a link. There are now many possibilities in making reports. I don’t think we’re even taking advantage of all the opportunities yet.”

Webinars on automation and data sharing
Through webinars, WEA Noord-Holland now tries to inform its clients about the possibilities of automatic bookkeeping and links with JoinData. For a fixed monthly fee, the client receives the activities of WEA Noord-Holland, the bookkeeping in YUKI and all the links. The client must authorize once in order to give WEA Noord-Holland access to the data. There are already clients who work this way, but Sebastian says that the goal is to have half of the clients switch to this way of accounting before the end of the year.
“It saves them time, gives them a better overview and no typing errors can be made when copying invoices and statements. Delegating this takes some getting used to for a client, and for us as well. We get an xml file from JoinData. This is a source file that we cannot read ourselves, but import directly into the accounting software. At the end of the year, of course, we do audit the financial statements, but we do have to trust that the source file is correct.”
“I am very satisfied with the cooperation with JoinData. It is a relatively small organization and that makes the contact personal. They also work quickly and adequately. It would be nice if even more sectors were connected to JoinData. Think of arable farming or the horticultural sector. I really see that the future lies in sharing data as much as possible. If you ‘keep the back door shut’ as a software organization, you will eventually lose out to other parties. I don’t know whether any more WEA offices will join JoinData, but I urge everyone to start the conversation with JoinData.”
