Over the past period, together with our partner iDDEN (International Dairy Data Exchange Network), we have enabled farmers in Canada and Germany to use the JoinData consent management platform.
This may sound technical, but at its core it’s about something else: giving dairy farmers a transparent, safe, and simple way to control the data they choose to share.
iDDEN is an international alliance of dairy partners with the goal of facilitating data exchange between partners and countries. But arranging farmer consent across borders is often complex. The good news is: we have succeeded! To achieve this result, iDDEN chose our “Launch Control” solution. In short, this is JoinData software that is integrated directly into the existing apps of our partners, allowing farmers—within a familiar environment—to instantly give consent for which data they would like to share. No complicated forms, no separate processes; just clear insight and immediate freedom of choice. For each data flow, iDDEN automatically verifies consent, ensuring that data was shared in real time only when the farmer genuinely wanted it.
The feedback from the participating farmers in Germany and Canada was very positive. They experienced using the consentmanagement platform as a transpararent and structured way of sharing data. And how obvious it should be, that farmers consent is at the basis of data sharing amongst parties.
This Proof of Value demonstrated one key insight: simplicity and transparency works.
It gave us strong confirmation that together with iDDEN we are building something that goes beyond technology—an international standard where farmers, and eventually all chain partners, can rely on secure and understandable data consent.
A great step forward. And this is hopefully only the beginning
